The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Johnson and Dr. and Mrs. T.L. Hodges Jr. and the late Carolyn Hodges, all of Clarkesville.

She is a 2007 graduate of Habersham Central High School in Mt. Airy and a 2012 graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University, Marietta with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. She is employed with Arthur J. Gallagher, Alpharetta.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Sims of Simsville, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Weldon of Port St. Joe, Fla.

He is a 2006 graduate of Southland Academy, Americus and a 2008 graduate of South Georgia Technical College, Americus with an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering drafting. He is employed with Securus, Alpharetta.

The wedding is planned for June 16, 2012, at Kingston Stables, Lakemont, Ga.

Gage Waddell observes his tenth birthday on April 16, 2012. He is the son of Mark and Crystal Waddell of Americus. Grandparents are Howard and Elaine Borders and Mary Waddell, all of Americus. Great-grandfather is Harold Owens, of Americus. He has a sister, Mary-Margaret Wadell, 4.

She is a 2007 graduate of Pike County High School and is currently in her senior year at the South University School of Pharmacy Graduate Program in Savannanah.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Lillian Jordan and the late Alvin Jordan from Americus and Arnold Dwight Martin and the late Earline Martin also from Americus. He is a 2006 graduate of Schley County High School and a graduate of South George Technical College in Americus. He is currently employed with Reid Brothers Irrigation and Equipment Company in Unadillla. The wedding is planned for 6:30 p.m. June 2, 2012 at Zebulon First Baptist Church. The couple will reside in Andersonville, Ga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Marcene Ellis and the late Hazel R. Ellis of Ellaville, and the late John S. Way and Nellie L. Way of Ellaville.

She is a 2007 graduate of Schley County High School and is a 2011 graduate of Darton College with an associate’s degree in nursing. She is currently a registered nurse with Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Homer and June Bellew of Oglethorpe, Donald Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Dorman McDonald, all of Brunswick.

He is a 2008 graduate of Schley County High School and is a 2011 graduate of Ogeechee Technical College in Statesboro with an associate’s degree in funeral services. He is currently employed with Striffler-Hamby Mortuary in Columbus.

The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. May 5, 2012, at Ellaville United Methodist Church in Ellaville with the reception to follow at Bison Valley Lodge, Americus. All friends and family of the couple are invited.
