Darrell and Suzanne Wilkerson of Ashburn announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Allison Suzanne Wynn to Joseph (Joe) Robert Barfield, son of Quillian and Robbie Barfield of Pitts.
The bride-elect also is the daughter of Mike and Lindsey Wynn. Her grandparents are the late Bobby McCard and Shirley McCard of Ashburn, Laverne Wilkerson and the late Cecil Wilkerson of Rebecca and Wayne and Karen Wynn of Sycamore.
A 2006 honor graduate of Turner County High School, she graduated with honors from Wiregrass Georgia Technical College in 2011 from the radiologic technology program. Currently, she is employed with Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville and Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele as an x-ray technician.
Mr. Barfield is the grandson of Robert and Allene Conner of Pitts and the late Bonnie and Doris Barfield of Cordele. A 2006 graduate of Wilcox County High School, he graduated from South Georgia Technical College with degrees in electronics and welding.
The future groom is employed with Robins Air Force Base and also operates his own business, Precision Mowing.
The couple will be married in a 6 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Aug. 4 at First Baptist Church of Ashburn. All friends and family are invited to attend.
