Shannon Wells Stowers and Opie Dean Bowen
Mr. and Mrs. William Gray Stowers of Conyers announce the engagement of their daughter Shannon Wells Stowers, to Opie Dean Bowen of Lake Park, Georgia, son of Elmer D. and Fay Lee Bowen, also of Lake Park, Georgia.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Chaplin Howard E. Waters of Marietta and the late Mrs. Howard Waters and the late Mr. and Mrs. Guy M. Stowers of Conyers. She is a 2003 graduate of Salem High School and a 2008 graduate of Valdosta State University where she earned a bachelors of science in Exercise Physiology. She is currently employed as a sales representative for the Government Employees Insurance Company.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. Betty S. Bowen and the late James E. Bowen of Lee, Florida, and Edna Lee Thompson and the late C.W. Thompson of McAlpin, Florida. He is a 2002 graduate of Echols County High School and a 2007 graduate of Valdosta State University where he earned a bachelors of science in Chemistry and a minor in Political Science. he is a recent 2010 graduate of Mercer’s Walter F. George School of Law where he received his juris doctorate. he is also a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and plans on pursuing a career as a patent attorney.
The wedding will take place August 21, 2010 at the Beachview Club on Jekyll Island.
