CALHOUN, Ga. — Katherine Murray and Brent Plunkett, both of Calhoun, Ga., announce their engagement.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Regina Thompson Murray and Roby Murray, both of Calhoun, Ga. The future groom is the son of Dani and Tony Plunkett of Calhoun, Ga.
The bride-elect is the step-daughter of Julie Murray and step-sister of Lindsey Newman both of Calhoun, Ga. and the granddaughter of Margot Fritsch of Schwinefurt, Germany and Lester and Barbara Thompson of Moultrie.
She is a 2004 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2009 graduate of Dalton State College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in management. She is currently employed by Country Friends.
The future groom is the brother of Mari Plunkett of Calhoun, Ga. and the grandson of Barbara and Jesse Strock of Elmore County, Ala. and Marvin and Joyce Plunkett of Douglasville, Ga.
He is a 2001 graduate of Calhoun High School and a 2009 graduate of Dalton State College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is employed by Direct Floor Source.
The wedding will be held at 4 p.m., on May 15, 2010, at Newtown Baptist Church in Calhoun, Ga. The reception will follow at the Harris Arts Center.
