Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Jones Jr. of Thomasville announce the engagement of their daughter, Deborah Gail of Thomasville, to Dr. David Martin Nigh of Greer, S.C. He is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Nigh.
The bride-elect is a maternal granddaughter of Jane Gverrant and the late Dr. Gordon O. Gverrant and Dr. Thomas Benjamin Jones and Nancy Jones.
She is a graduate of Brookwood High School, completed her undergraduate degree at Mercer University and attended graduate school at University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Nigh is a paternal grandson of Florence Hefner.
He received his undergraduate degree from University of South Carolina Upstate and graduated from Southern College of Optometry.
He is an optometrist with The Nigh Eye Group in Greenville, S.C.
The wedding is at 4 p.m., June 27, 2010, at Madison United Methodist Church in Madison, Md.
