TIFTON — Harry and Kay Bowen of Tifton announce the engagement of their daughter, Allie Summers Bowen, to Jon Patrick “JP” Johnston, son of Aubrey and Dianna Johnston of Tifton.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Frances and the late James Bowen Jr. of Tifton and Bobbie and the late C.R. Summers of Tifton.
Allie is a 2003 graduate of Tift County High School, a 2008 graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Science and a 2010 graduate of Athens Technical College with an Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography. She is employed with Tift Regional Medical Center.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Estelle and the late Albert Glenn Martin Sr. of Helena Arkansas. and Frances and the late Durwood Johnston of West Helena, Arkansas.
JP is a 1997 graduate of Tift County High School and a 2002 graduate of LaGrange College with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He is employed with Johnston Seed Company.
The wedding is planned for December 3, 2011 at Amelia Island, Florida. Invitations are being mailed.
