GREENVILLE S.C. — Mr. and Mrs. William Franklin Trawick announce the engagement of their daughter, Caroline Browning Trawick of Greenville, S.C., to Matthew Gregory Welborn of Greenville, S.C., son of Dr. Tracey Welborn and Mr. James Gregory Welborn of Hartsville, S.C.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Shelton Dunn of Evergreen, Ala., Mrs. C. Hartman Trawick of Columbus and Mr. Ross Lawrence Trawick of Panama City, Fla. Caroline is a graduate of Murray High School, Murray, Ky., and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She completed her Master of Arts degree at Murray State University with a degree in Human Development and Leadership. She is employed as Director of EAP Services for the Phoenix Center, Greenville, S.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Garvin Edgar Turner and the late Mrs. Turner of Greenville, S.C., and Mrs. Hazel Gentry Welborn and the late Mr. Welborn of Greenville, S.C. Matthew is a graduate of Hartsville High School, Hartsville, S.C., and the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Engineering Management and Psychology. He is employed as an Associate Engineer at America Fujikura Limited, Greenville, S.C.
The wedding is planned for Nov. 5 at Markley Chapel, Christ Church Episcopal, Greenville, S.C.
