Mr. and Mrs. Rusty Parker of Valdosta announce the engagement of their daughter, Casey Laine Parker, to Jordan Lee Bacon, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Bacon of Kennesaw.
The wedding is planned for Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Honey Lake Plantation in Greenville, Fla.
Casey, 24, is a history teacher at Brooks County High School in Quitman. Jordan, 23, is an AFLAC sales associate. They met through mutual friends while Jordan was playing baseball at Gordon College in Barnesville.
Casey received a bachelor’s degree in education from Kennesaw State University while Jordan received a bachelor’s degree in business from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Casey’s maternal grandparents are Judy Williams of Valdosta and Darrell and Brenda Plyler of Jefferson, S.C., and her paternal grandparents are Jake and Dorothy Parker of Valdosta.
Jordan’s maternal grandparents are Gloria Clanton of Atlanta and the late Charles Clanton, and his paternal grandparents are Dorothy Bacon of Smyrna and the late Arthur Bacon.
