James and Ellen Stalvey of Hahira celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 19. They were married May 18, 1962, by Judge T.N. Holcomb. The couple was honored by family members with a surprise cookout at their home on Wells Road. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jim Stalvey of Hahira and Glen and Debbie Stalvey of Barney, and a granddaughter, Samantha Stalvey of Hahira. They are members of Salem United Methodist Church.
