James “Buddy” and Patricia Astles will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 20. They were married Oct. 20, 1962, in Hahira. They have two sons and their spouses, Steve and Laini Astles and Darren and Sharon Astles, as well as grandchildren and a great-grandchild due in January. Buddy worked for Yeomans Drywall for more than 40 years, while his wife is retired from South Georgia Medical Center. They have been members of Bemiss Road Baptist Church for more than 40 years.
