Tim and Eveline Stone of Valdosta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows Sept. 8 at Abundant Life Church of God in Valdosta, with Pastor Wayne Hughes officiating.
Their son, Regi Stone of Nashville, Tenn., sang and played three songs, “I Love Your Truly,” “Only God Could Love You More,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”
Their youngest son, Ron Stone of Lenox, and Frank Barbee lit the candles. Ron also was the photographer.
A reception was held in the fellowship hall, which was decorated with white tablecloths with gold runners with gold decorations and gold balloons on each table. Judy Stone Smith of Ocala, Fla., was in charge of decorating.
The cake was made by Eveline’s cousin, Lavenia Horne of Adel, who also made their wedding cake and 25th anniversary cake. Eveline’s sister-in-law, Sandra Webb of Ray City, cut the golden anniversary cake. Other servers were Jeanette Parker, Ann Smith, Marilyn O’Steen and Judy S. Smith.
Keeping the guest book were the honorees’ four grandchildren, Ana-Lei Stone and Lindsi Stone of Lenox and Sophia Stone and Eli Stone of Nashville, Tenn.
The honorees’ sons sent them on a trip to the mountains.
