VALDOSTA — Dr. and Mrs. Dennis R. Thomas of Valdosta announce the engagement of their daughter, Hayley Blair Thomas, to Brett James Hester, son of Dr. and Mrs. Wayne Hester of Valdosta and the late Gwen Hester of Nashville.
The wedding is planned for 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, at First Baptist Church in Valdosta.
The bride-elect’s maternal grandparents are Mrs. Lawanna Cunningham and the late James E. Cunningham of Valdosta, and her paternal grandparents are Mrs. Leola C. Thomas and the late Hayden W. Thomas of Sandy Springs.
She is a 2004 graduate of Valdosta High School and a 2008 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia with a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy. She is employed by Amedisys Home Health as an Occupational Therapist in Augusta, GA.
The groom-elect’s maternal grandparents are Mrs. Elsie Chambless and the late John J Chambless of Nashville, and his paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Hester of Lenox.
He is a 1999 graduate of Valdosta High School and a 2005 graduate of Augusta State University with a Bachelor of Science. He is currently enrolled in the School of Dentistry at the Medical College of Georgia.
